Be Sound Massage Treatments
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is a relaxing treatment both physically and mentally.
It can help to release tension in the muscles, improve skin and muscle tone,
improves circulation and aids lymphatic drainage, helping to rid the body
of toxins and is particularly effective at tackling stress.
Some deeper massage techniques may/can be used in tight or knotted areas
to manipulate the soft tissue (skin, muscles, tendons and ligaments).
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue or Remedial Massage uses techniques that focus on the deeper
layers of muscle tissue.
Slower strokes and direct deep pressure or friction is applied to the muscles,
tendons and fascia. This can help to break down areas of scar tissue or
adhesions realigning the muscle fibers to aid in relieving pain and improving
range of movement.
Deep tissue or Remedial Massage also includes all the benefits of a Swedish
massage.
Sports Massage
Sports massage is similar to remedial or deep tissue massage except the
techniques used are tailored to assist in treating or preventing sports
injuries.
Sports massage stretches muscle tissue, releases tension from joints to
keep the body flexible. It can also help to stimulate the circulation, reduce
swelling, remove waste products and speed up the healing process. Sports
massage can assist soft tissue injury healing and ultimately enhance your
sports training and performance.
All treatments are $75.00 for a one-hour appointment.
